The Rock River Valley, consists of a dozen counties in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin along both banks of the beautiful Rock River. We're centrally located in close proximity to some of the nation's largest metropolitan areas yet we independently serve as the cultural, shopping, and employment epicenter for area residents.
Our residents represent a broad diversity of ethnic origins, religions, occupations, lifestyles and interests. Although urban in nature with more than 630,000 residents within a 30 mile radius, Rockford is still able to boast of a hometown feel with its exceptional parks and neighborly atmosphere typical of midwestern towns.
